About this site

Hello, my name is Tyler Vornberg. I’ve been playing video games casually since I was a kid. One day, I decided to create a blog where I write reviews and share my thoughts on the games that I play. There’s no consistent upload schedule, I just post when I feel like it. There’s also no consistency to the games I write about. Sometimes it’ll be games that have just been released, other times it may be games from decades ago. Basically, I post about games I play at the time in which I play them.

Everything on this site is my opinion. Your opinion may not be the same as mine. That is ok. You may feel free to disagree with my opinions and explain why in the comments of my posts.

My rating system

When I do reviews, I rate games on a scale of 1 to 10. I don’t have a very scientific way of deciding where a game lies on the scale – it’s more of a gut instinct than anything – but I do have a fairly consistent idea of what each of the places on the scale mean to me.

  • 1-4: Bad. Games in this range are games I recommend to no one. They are simply poorly designed and not fun.
  • 5: Mediocre. These games aren’t bad, but I have a hard time recommending them to people. At the very least, wait for these games to be on sale.
  • 6-7: Good. While not groundbreaking, and possibly having serious flaws, these games still gave me an enjoyable experience that kept me going to the end. Games rated at least a 6 are considered worth-it purchases to me for people who are interested.
  • 8-9: Great. These games are well designed and well executed. Whatever bad things I have to say about them are easily ignored in the face of what they do well.
  • 10: Masterpiece. Games rated 10 aren’t just great, they’re extraordinary. These games leave my jaw open thinking “this is incredible.” Games rated 10 are must-buys.
